Web Application Data Privacy

Specific data privacy and use policies are agreed upon between the Web Service Provider and their End-User Customers or the Company and their Employee. 5o9 encourages our customers and developers to publish their privacy policies specifically describing their use of device, location and user data. Further, we strongly recommend that each company or developer utilize our recommended user-controlled data privacy approach within their specific Web application. It is important that you review the respective privacy policy of each website that you visit or mobile application that you use. Each organization’s privacy policy is different and governs the use of information on those websites and applications.

You Control Your Data

5o9 is enabling software that is integrated into a Web application – we are not a service.  As such, 5o9 does not host any customer’s Web service and the mobile metadata never passes through 5o9 company servers.  All meta data flows directly between the mobile user device and the Web Service Provider’s website.  For trouble-shooting purposes only, a 5o9 customer may share with us data from a diagnostic test of their specific Web application. Our diagnostics tool only presents minimal, non-identifying device data allowing us to verify that our software was properly installed and the metadata is in fact, being transmitted to our customer’s website.
